Hi, I'm Carlie Hughes. Welcome to my website.

I am currently a graduate student working towards my Ph.D. in philosophy at DePaul University. My research interests include political economy, environmental philosophy, feminism, and 20th century continental thought. 

My dissertation project is presenting a reading of Georges Bataille as an ecological thinker, and aims to place his theory of general economy in conversation with contemporary Eco-Marxist and environmental discourse.
